Rugby Canada’s Tuesday presser was as much about showing off a new look as it was about giving Vancouver media a chance to talk with the likes of Kieran Crowley and Eddie Jones (more on that later).
There are three basic getups – a solid white look, a solid red look and something that’s between gunmetal and black.
In this amateur haberdasher’s opinion, I think they look pretty slick but fair enough if you don’t.
The players seemed happy enough with what they were wearing. Under Armour’s been supplying Wales for several seasons, so it’s not like they don’t know what they’re doing when it comes to rugby clothing. The jerseys have grippy material sewn in, I guess to create more friction between player and ball.
